Revere uses conservation-minded materials and mounting methods chosen for the piece being framed.
Acid-free mats help protect the work. UV glazing can reduce fading. Museum glass dramatically reduces reflection. And whenever possible, mounting is designed so the original artwork or object can be removed again in the future.

Fading, scratches, color loss, and damaged areas don't always mean a photograph is gone for good.
Revere restores older photographs digitally, creates new prints, and can frame the finished image so the next generation gets to keep it too.

George Kormos started Revere Picture Framing in 2005 and has been helping people figure out what to do with the things they care about ever since.
The work is part design problem, part craft, and part conversation. Some customers arrive knowing exactly what they want. Others walk in carrying an old photograph, a jersey, a watercolor, or a family heirloom and simply ask, “What would you do with this?”

George was wonderful! I went to his shop for the first time with an antique frame that had no glass or backing. He was able to hand cut plexiglass in an oval shape, put a backing on and the tiny screws to hold a photo in. It took almost an hour to do but George persevered.
