She built her life here. Now she's fighting for its future.
Mara Voss spent twelve years teaching in public schools before opening a neighborhood bookstore with her sister in Briar Glen. She later worked with local governments and community organizations on small-business development, housing access, and public infrastructure.
She is running for Congress because the communities that built this district should be able to afford to stay in it.
For Mara, that means focusing on the things that shape daily life: good schools, accessible healthcare, reliable infrastructure, affordable homes, thriving local businesses, and government that actually works when people need it.
